The California Highway Patrol Monday reported seven movement fatalities in Los Angeles County amid the 2016 New Year's vacation weekend, one more than amid that weekend a year back.
The 2016 New Year's vacation weekend secured a 78-hour period that started at 6:01 p.m. Thursday and proceeded through 11:59 p.m. Sunday - a period that was 24 hours shorter than the New Year's vacation implementation period a year prior.
Statewide this year, there were 27 activity fatalities, contrasted and 28 movement fatalities in 2015.
In Los Angeles County this year, there were 202 DUI captures this year, contrasted and 236 a year ago.
Statewide this year, there were 923 DUI captures, contrasted and 1,158 a year ago.
The capture figures are for infractions in CHP locale just.
